ORDER OF CHILDREN<strong><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;">You've just been told that you are pregnant:</span></strong><br /><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;">1st baby: You begin wearing maternity clothes as soon as your OB/GYN confirms your pregnancy.</span><br /><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;">2nd baby: You wear your regular clothes for as long as possible. </span><br /><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;">3rd baby: Your maternity clothes ARE your regular clothes. ________________________________________________</span><br /><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;"><strong>Preparing for the birth: </strong></span><br /><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;">1st baby: You practice your breathing religiously. </span><br /><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;">2nd baby: You don't bother because you remember that last time breathing didn't do a thing. </span><br /><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;">3rd baby: You ask for an epidural in your eighth month. ________________________________________________ </span><br /><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;"><strong>The layette:</strong> </span><br /><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;">1st baby: You pre-wash newborn's clothes, color coordinate them, and fold them neatly in the baby's little bureau. </span><br /><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;">2nd baby: You check to make sure that the clothes are clean and discard only the ones with the darkest stains. </span><br /><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;">3rd baby: Boys can wear pink, can't they? ________________________________________________</span><br /><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;"><strong>Worries:</strong> </span><br /><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;">1st baby: At the first sign of distress--a whimper, a frown--you pick up the baby. </span><br /><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;">2nd baby: You pick the baby up when her wails threaten to wake your firstborn. </span><br /><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;">3rd baby: You teach your three-year-old how to rewind the mechanical swing. </span><br /><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;">________________________________________________</span><br /><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;"><strong>Pacifier:</strong> </span><br /><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;">1st baby: If the pacifier falls on the floor, you put it away until you can go home and wash and boil it. </span><br /><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;">2nd baby: When the pacifier falls on the floor, you squirt it off with some juice from the baby's bottle. </span><br /><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;">3rd baby: You wipe it off on your shirt and pop it back in. ________________________________________________</span><br /><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;"><strong>Diapering:</strong> </span><br /><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;">1st baby: You change your baby's diapers every hour, whether they need it or not. </span><br /><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;">2nd baby: You change their diaper every two to three hours, if needed. </span><br /><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;">3rd baby: You try to change their diaper before others start to complain about the smell or you see it sagging to their knees. ________________________________________________</span><br /><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;"><strong>Activities:</strong> </span><br /><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;">1st baby: You style="font-family:trebuchet ms;">2nd baby : Just before you walk out the door, you remember to leave a number where you can be reached. </span><br /><span style="font-family:trebuchet Wreck<span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;">Well.................</span><br /><br /><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;">I was in a major car accident yesterday morning. I was heading west on Southlake Blvd going the speed limit of 45-50 mph and a Ford F-150 Truck made an illegal left hand turn right in front of me and I hit him head on. I went to the emergency care center today and got x-rays on my legs. No broken bones but a lot of muscle pain, bruising and scrapes. I can barely hobble around. Trinity was with me and thankfully was not injured except for some scrapes and a bruised chin. My car is the white Ford Expedition, his is the red Ford F-150. I have been thanking God for having such little injuries for me and my daughter!</span><br /><br /><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;">Here are the pictures from the wreck.</span><br /><br /><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_k4jByUU9rNI/SKMc5EYYrJI/AAAAAAAABGg/3-BqVB63n2Q/s1600-h/Photo_081208_001.JPG"></a><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_k4jByUU9rNI/SKS3frzgsqI/AAAAAAAABGw/Mrkk_asHH5s/s1600-h/002.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5234510421873963682" style="CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_k4jByUU9rNI/SKS3frzgsqI/AAAAAAAABGw/Mrkk_asHH5s/s400/002.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /></span><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_k4jByUU9rNI/SKS3gKTJSBI/AAAAAAAABG4/fEhye9ICysU/s1600-h/003.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5234510430059710482" style="CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_k4jByUU9rNI/SKS3gKTJSBI/AAAAAAAABG4/fEhye9ICysU/s400/003.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_k4jByUU9rNI/SKMc5dAN3VI/AAAAAAAABGo/tgpYIeT6DFg/s1600-h/Photo_081208_006.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5234058965298306386" style="CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_k4jByUU9rNI/SKMc5dAN3VI/AAAAAAAABGo/tgpYIeT6DFg/s400/Photo_081208_006.JPG" border="0" /></a>Living For Today!http://www.blogger.com/profile/06520706842444258522tracey@livingfortodaymom.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3383252809212468766.post-50585731908167690492008-08-11T17:13:00.004-05:002008-08-11T17:19:06.307-05:00Curtains For Trinity's Room!<span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;">While I was <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">computer-less</span> for over a week, I had a lot of spare time to tackle some things that I have been wanting to do. Interrupt adults when they are talking.</p><p><br />2. Use manipulation and rebellion to get their way.</p><p><br />3. Dictate family schedule. (include meal times, bedtimes, etc.)</p><p><br />4. Take precedence over the needs of the spouse.</p><p><br />5. Have an equal or overriding vote in all decision making matters.</p><p><br />6. Demand excessive time and attention from parent to the detriment of the other biblical responsibilities of the parents.</p><p><br />7. Escape the consequences of their sinful and irresponsible behavior. </p><p><br />8. Speak to parents as though they were peers.</p><p><br />9. Be the dominant influence in the home.</p><p><br />10. Be entertained and coddled (rather than disciplined) out of a bad mood.</p><p><br /><br /><strong>Now contrast that with children in the God-centered home:</strong></p><strong></strong><p><br />1. To joyfully serve others.</p><p><br />2. To cheerfully obey parents the first time.</p><p><br />3. To not interrupt parents who are speaking to each other.</p><p><br />4. To understand they will not always get their own way.</p><p><br />5. To work their schedule around their parents' schedule.</p><p><br />6. To have input into family decisions but not necessarily an equal vote.</p><p><br />7. To understand that God has given their parents other responsibilities in addition to meeting their needs.</p><p><br />8. To suffer the natural consequences of their sinful and irresponsible behavior.</p><p><br />9. To not speak to parents as though they were peers but honor them as spiritual authorities.</p><p><br />10. To esteem others as more important than themselves.</p><p><br />11.
